Beautiful artwork and a very Ghibli-esque feel while also managing to keep the hairs on the back of my neck stand at attention. It was subtly eerie and wonderfully crafted and you can tell a lot of love went into this game. ♡♡
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
A girl takes a night train heading to an unknown destination...
Yûrei Station ("Ghost Station") is an adventure game inspired by Japanese ghost stories. It was written and designed by Atelier Sentô, based on memories of their life in Japan, and on the trains they used to take at dawn.
The graphics were hand-painted with pencils and watercolors by high school students. It was done in 2 days (March 6 and 7, 2017) during a workshop at "le Pôle des Arts" of La Joliverie in Nantes.

I love the simplistic and yet really nice drawings, the story is so intriguing and mysterious, I love the simple little puzzles, and the interesting 2.5D perspective, and the atmosphere, I honestly just really love this game. And the fact that it was made by high schoolers in only 2 days, just blows my mind. The only complaint I have (and it's very small) is that I believe the stepping sound could have been done in a way so that it doesn't always sound the same, but trust me, I loved everything else! I'd probably give it a 9.5 out of 10!
I love it! The graphics is hella good, your da best!
I love the art style, story and gameplay! It's lovely and unnerving- the hallmarks of a good ghost story!
I always enjoy the games you make! I love the art style and how the game is both beautiful and unsettling. Great job!
It was great experience to play this.
The strongest + of this game was graphics, i really enjoyed this kind of handdrawn style with those watercolors.
i surely would recommend this game to anyone and im looking forward to yours next game.
Have a nice day!
J'ai adoré ce jeu, l'ambiance, le graphisme, tout est si beau et dombre à la fois : TOP !!!
This was absolutely perfect!
Really loved this game. Beautiful & creepy in every way. Great job.
Great game, can't wait for the next one!
Good game !!
Anyone know how long this game is?
Forgot to share my let's play of your game when I uploaded it...here ya go:
Hello there. This is the first time where I have played a game without any negative comments whatsoever. This is a great game overall and I hope more people will play this amazing game. This is the first part of my gameplay of Yurei Station. Please support my channel. :)
Hello! Thank you so much for playing the game!
We're glad you enjoyed it. And thank you for the video!
hi! want another translation ? if you want just say :)
Thanks a lot!
We probably won't add new translation to this game since we're too busy on other projects but we appreciate your offer!
ฅ/ᐠ｡ᆽ｡ᐟ \ Hello~
Your games are always so lovely! The art style is mesmerizing and charming as always, and I liked how the phone was implemented to be a menu and plot device. I thought it was pretty interesting to see more Japanese writing here as 'After School' and 'Sango' didn't utilize it as much. The story was bittersweet, and I enjoyed the tone of it overall despite the game being so short.
Looking forward to more games from you guys in the future~
Thank you very much for your kind words! We experimented a lot on this game so we're glad you liked it!
We're also glad you liked the use of Japanese writing: we really wanted to use it but it frustrated many players...
We're now working on a Visual Novel with the same art style and atmosphere, to be released in September.
Thanks for the video!
This game is amaing. The art is absolutely beautiful. But the best part is the story.
We enjoyed it very much.
Here is a short video we made while playing:Keep up the good work!!!
Super creepy and wonderful! Beautiful artwork.
this reminds me of ghibli :D but of course the last puzzle is a coincidence because i dont understand japanese
You can solve the last puzzle even if you don't speak Japanese.
There are clues hidden in the last message you get on your cellphone.
Thanks for playing!
This was so amazing! I absolutely loved the art style, I wish there was more to it, but it was a great ride!
One of the best indie horror games I've played so far! 😍
Be sure to share if you enjoy the video, thanks! 😄❤️
oh gosh wow!!! I love the art and the ending was so cool!
This game is so beautiful!!!! I love it so much! Especially all the work and effort you put into it!
Hey, one of the best game youtuber in Korea did play review of your game.
Great! Thanks again for your translation!
We're glad the game was so much enjoyed in Korea!!!
compelling story, interesting backgrounds, nice artwork.
Thansk for the game!
This game is brilliant! I love the art so much! You guys did such an amazing job. This game has mild creepy vibes but nothing too scary. There was a lot of mystery going on as well. It was nice to play a game that shows some Japanese folklore. Here is a little gameplay I did for this game xD
Thanks a lot for your kind words!
Japanese folklore has such a unique imagery... It inspires us so much.
Thanks for the video!
I played this game as part of Halloween games, and really enjoyed it~ The paintings are beautiful, and I loved how much it was steeped in the atmosphere!
This game is absolutely gorgeous! And creepy! I love both the story and artwork! My LP from a few months back:
This game was really cool to play! I love the art style and the music. Atmosphere is great!
please i need languages in spanish T.T
Sorry, there's no plan for a Spanish translation right now.
Let's hope there will be an opportunity for it one of these days.
Really well done game! Thank you, I enjoyed it! Awesome storytelling, music and of course painting. Horror brought to another level with the correct ambience.
Gave it a go...
Had fun playing the game. Still can't believe this was just made in 2 days. The puzzles were great, and I think people who didn't know Japanese probably took too long to solve the eyeball puzzle (or they coincidentally guessed it)
Overall a great game. Would love to see more games from the devs.
Also here's my gameplay video, if you're interested.
Thanks a lot for your kind words!
About the eyeball puzzle: it contains all the clues to be solved by people who don't know Japanese (each character is translated in romaji so you can read the entire word). But watching at some Let's Play, we noticed that the language barrier made many people think it was just impossible to solve. Maybe the same puzzle with symbols instead of kanji would have been easier to solve... So, even if we liked the idea of making people read a short Japanese sentence, we probably won't do another puzzle like that in the future.
Let's Play are interesting to watch: we learn a lot about how people react to puzzles!
Thanks for the video!
This was a great story type game! The art work was awesome! Great game! :D
Honestly one of the best little story based games I played in the last months!
Amazing art work! Props to everyone who worked in this project!
